【Patinage artistique】Stéphane Lambiel ouvre une école

Back to Yuzu’s teenager, he ever had a dream to open a professional skating school after retirement in order to cultivate young skaters, especial men skaters. Today I see Stephane Lambiel did the same thing in Switzerland. Maybe it is a good reference model to Yuzu.

They are all very responsible to the development of figure skating in their motherland.

Former world champion Stephane Lambiel opened his school of figure skating on August. His goal is to train future champions and avoid Switzerland having the same predicament in Sochi Olympics that no representative at the upcoming Winter Olympics in four years.

Two-time world champion of men figure skating launches his training school in Champery. The new open school is built with high-level training courses in the aim of cultivating Swiss successors.

In Sochi Olympics, there is no Swiss figure skater to participate in the game. Stephane reacted this issue immediately. Since August, Stephane supervised the best promising Swiss players toward to top.

Stephane said:“ You can’t train with people who start skating and doing other triple jumps. There are structures in different clubs, but miss a professional structure. There is one team of regular skaters and another one that comes only on Wednesday afternoon. And then, we made one hour of technical training, one hour of expression on ice and an hour and half in fitness."

Stephanie invests of own funds in this private school, but it appeals to the participation of parents. “The skating is not a good sport market. I know the investment representing for a family.”

Here, 60 or 120 Swiss francs (francs) for the particular course and 180 francs for boot camp Wednesday.
